Many wine styles on the Murge
Castel del Monte DOC gives several grapes and colors a shared Puglian setting.
Castel del Monte includes whites, reds and rosés, with still, lightly sparkling and sparkling forms among its permitted styles. Labels naming Bombino Bianco, Nero di Troia, Cabernet or Aglianico point to more specific branches. The shared landscape is the Murge, a limestone plateau whose ridges and depressions help define central Puglia.
