An island home for Vermentino
The Sardinian denomination follows the grape across a varied island landscape.
Vermentino is the principal grape of this white wine, whose production area extends across Sardinia. The island’s Mediterranean setting brings relatively mild coastal winters, dry summers and frequent winds, particularly the Maestrale. Rainfall and terrain vary between the coast and the interior, so the denomination gives Vermentino a broad Sardinian home rather than a single hillside setting.
