Greco along the Sabato valley

Greco di Tufo is a defined Irpinian wine reference for the white grape.

In Greco di Tufo, Greco forms the principal grape base, with Coda di Volpe permitted alongside it. The vines occupy slopes along the Sabato valley in Avellino province. Clay-rich ground, sands and limestone formations offer different vineyard settings. The full wine name places the grape within a small, clearly listed territory in inland Campania.

The Tufo wine territory

Greco di Tufo’s grape area covers Tufo, Altavilla Irpina, Chianche, Montefusco, Prata di Principato Ultra, Petruro Irpino, Santa Paolina and Torrioni in Avellino province.
