Try it in the kitchen

Cut datterini lengthwise for a salad with fresh cheese, or use them in a quick pasta sauce with olive oil and basil. Compare their elongated shape with rounded cherry-tomato varieties.

In Cucchiaio d’Argento’s Caprese, halved datterini are served with whole ciliegini and slices of cuore di bue tomato. For pasta, Mutti also offers a prepared datterino tomato sauce.

A shape, not a single origin

Choose tomatoes identified as datterino and check the cultivar or producer when you want a specific example. The type name alone does not identify a protected geographical product.
