Our suggestion: halve the tomatoes for a salad with olives and basil, or roast them and spoon them over cooked beans. Keep the preparation simple enough to notice the differences between varieties.

A family of small tomatoes
Look for the cultivar or type as well as the cherry-tomato description. Seed producers distinguish rounded examples from elongated cherry types, so the name does not guarantee one exact shape or one growing origin.
