One grape, several Roero expressions

Roero’s white wines let you explore Arneis as a still wine, a Riserva or a sparkling wine.

Arneis is the principal grape in Roero’s white branch, including its Riserva and sparkling forms. The same denomination also includes reds based on Nebbiolo. Reading the full wine name helps distinguish those paths.

For Roero Arneis, the vineyard composition requires at least 95% Arneis. That gives this Piedmontese example a clear identity while leaving room for the small contribution of other permitted white grapes.

Roero’s defined vineyard area

The Roero grape-production area lies in Cuneo province. It includes all of Canale, Corneliano d’Alba, Piobesi d’Alba and Vezza d’Alba, alongside defined parts of other municipalities. This identifies the wine’s area, rather than the birthplace of the grape.
