Nebbiolo on both sides of the river

The Alba denomination links vineyards across the Tanaro.

Nebbiolo d’Alba is made entirely from Nebbiolo. Its territory reaches across both banks of the Tanaro, sharing a landscape of sand, clay and limestone layers. The grape is grown on well-exposed slopes, sheltered from spring cold and frost. Alongside the red wine, the denomination also allows white and rosé sparkling styles from this same grape.

A defined area in Cuneo province

The grape area comprises whole or specified parts of municipalities around Alba and the Roero, on both sides of the Tanaro in Cuneo province.
