Dolcetto at the edge of the Langhe
A cooler southern hill landscape gives Dogliani its setting.
Dogliani is made entirely from Dolcetto. Its territory lies on the western edge of the southern Langhe, approaching the Ligurian Apennines and Maritime Alps. Long and short slopes alternate over sandstone and more clay-rich ground. Vineyards share the landscape with hazelnuts, fields, meadows and woodland, giving the denomination a setting shaped by several kinds of farming.
