Contratto Bitter

Contratto describes a bitter built from 24 botanical aromas, with carrot and beetroot extracts supplying its color. Its published botanical list includes citrus, gentian, wormwood and spices, while part of the formula remains undisclosed. Cold extraction of the finely crushed plants precedes blending, filtration and a rest in steel: the bitter’s identity comes from several stages of work.

Contratto describes finely crushing the botanicals and extracting them with a hydroalcoholic solution for about 35 days. After blending, chilling and filtration, the bitter rests for 40 days in steel tanks.
