A pastry maker’s egg liqueur

VOV’s producer traces the recipe to Padua in 1845.

Molinari’s account names the pastry maker Gian Battista Pezziol as the creator of VOV in 1845. The recipe combines egg yolks, Marsala and sugar, bringing pastry ingredients into a liqueur. Its distinctive white bottle recalls an eggshell, a visual link to the yolk within the drink.

Shake before pouring
