Lacrima in the low hills of Ancona

Vines, olive trees and field crops share a landscape influenced by the Adriatic.

Lacrima di Morro d’Alba is built around the Lacrima grape. Its low hills lie within reach of the Adriatic, which moderates temperature differences across the area. Vines share the agricultural landscape with olive trees and field crops. The denomination includes ordinary, Superiore and passito styles, offering several ways to explore this small part of the Marche.

Six municipalities, with exclusions

The grape area covers suitable land in Morro d’Alba, Monte San Vito, San Marcello, Belvedere Ostrense, Ostra and Senigallia. Valley floors and the sea-facing hill slopes of Senigallia are excluded.
